Yoga Nidra is a type of guided meditation proven to reduce stress and increase feelings of relaxation and wellbeing in the body. In this podcast, Nikki Lomonaco leads Yoga Nidra and Guided Meditation practices with the intention of creating a digital library of relaxation resources which students can access at any time as an invitation into rest and mindfulness.
Through tuning into the breath and body, students are invited to explore the various states of consciousness between waking and sleeping. ‘Yoga Nidra’ translates to mean ‘yogic sleep’ and is usually practiced lying down in a resting position.
Through a Trauma Informed approach, Nikki provides classes that are safe for students who are navigating the daily stresses of life as well as those who are experiencing more challenging circumstances such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, & C-PTSD.
